Interviewing
What to expect:
-Often casual in tone, yet still highly professional. Treat the interview opportunity with respect and care
-Some companies do multiple rounds, often starting with HR or recruiter on Zoom/phone call
-Some require assessments (ex. submitting an example of script coverage)
Tips:
Research your interviewers, check their LinkedIn or any public articles about them.
Show up early (in person and on Zoom), never make the interviewer wait on you.
Dress to impress! Always better to be overdressed (see the Opinion Corner post about this).
Know the company, know what they do, their slate, or recent projects.
Prep a few stories: short examples of leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.
Prepare specific questions, NOT ones that can be answered with a google search (scroll down for examples).
Send a Thank You email after the interview.
